Dross press and salt cake dross press are eco-friendly aluminum recycling equipments and they can increase the aluminum recovery rate by 5%~10%, which is depending on how to operate the aluminum smelting process.

Aluminum Dross press
The function of the press is to recover the maximum amount of metal in the smelter itself, and at the same time to rapidly cool the dross to 350 ℃ and reduce its oxidation process, thus allowing for greater metal recovery in secondary processes.
The working principle of the Press is to extract liquid aluminum from still-hot dross, giving the necessary pressure, squeezing the liquid aluminum, and rapidly cooling the dross, causing a rolling effect on the shell during the pressing process. In other words, the small metal particles still residing in the dross coagulate in the pressing process in the form of sheets, forming what we call a dross shell. The fact that the aluminum still residing in the dross is coagulated in this way makes it possible to obtain higher percentages of aluminum recovery in the secondary processes, and therefore provides added value to these dross.

Sow mold and dross pan
We have low-profile sow mold and high-profile sow mold, with or without pockets, and dross pan with multiple dimensions in ASTM 8630, ASTM A217 WC9, ASTM A27 Grade 65-35, and iron casting.
We developed our proprietary materials to resist thermal shock, more durable, and longer service life. Of course, in addition to our proprietary materials, we also have common cast iron materials to choose from.
Meanwhile, we redesigned the sow mold dross pans, drain pan, skimming pot, and slag bins to make them to cool quickly and reduce oxidation rates. As well as we also support customization to provide you with the most suitable aluminum ingot molds.
